Is this a subscription?
No. Both the desktop app and the mobile companion app are free. Mobile pairs with your desktop for chat, receipt capture, and books-on-the-go — it's currently in testing ahead of a full Google Play launch. If you want automatic bank imports via Plaid, that's an optional add-on subscription — but CSV import works forever with no recurring cost.
Do I need to know accounting?
No. Your Zealot handles the categorization using Schedule C line items for businesses and intuitive categories for personal use. You just confirm or correct — it learns your preferences.
What if the AI gets a category wrong?
Tap to correct it. Your Zealot remembers that vendor for next time. After a few corrections, it rarely misses.
Is my data safe?
Your transaction data never leaves your phone. It's stored locally on your device — no cloud, no servers, no account required. If you use the optional bank auto-import, only the bank connection goes through our server (powered by Plaid). Your actual transactions still stay on your device.
Can I use this for personal finances?
Yes. Choose Personal during setup and you get categories like Groceries, Dining, Rent, Entertainment, and more. Business users get Schedule C categories mapped to IRS line items.
What's the auto-import add-on?
For users who don't want to download CSVs every month, the optional subscription connects your bank directly via Plaid. Transactions sync to your device automatically. Your data still stays local — the server only handles the bank connection.
